This Privacy Policy explains how AddWebLink ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use addweblink.com and related services (the "Platform")—including browsing listings, creating an account, buying or selling guest post placements, using wallet and payout features, and contacting support.
1. Who we are
AddWebLink operates a guest post marketplace with escrow-backed payments, buyer and seller dashboards, and administrative trust-and-safety tools. For privacy questions or requests, contact support@addweblink.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information generated through use of the Platform, and limited technical data.
2.1 Account and profile
- Registration and sign-in: name, email address, password (stored as a hash), profile image, and optional OAuth data if you sign in with a supported provider (for example Google).
- Verification: email verification status; optional mobile number and verification timestamp if you add a phone number.
- Buyer profile: optional company name, billing country, and tax identifiers such as GSTIN where you choose to provide them.
- Seller profile: display name, bio, KYC or payout verification status, and references needed to pay you (handled through our payout processes).
2.2 Marketplace activity
- Listings: site URLs, descriptions, pricing, categories, metrics shown on listings, and editorial guidelines you publish as a seller.
- Orders and writing services: cart contents, order status, delivery URLs and proofs, briefs, messages, revision and dispute records, and reviews you write or receive.
- Payments and wallet: payment provider references (Stripe or Razorpay payment or order identifiers), amounts, currency, platform fees, wallet balance and top-up history, ledger entries, and payout status. We do not store full card numbers on our servers; card data is processed by the payment provider.
2.3 Communications and support
- Messages you send through contact forms, support email, or in-product notifications.
- Notification preferences and delivery logs for email and in-app alerts (for example order updates, delivery notices, and account security).
2.4 Technical and usage data
- Device and browser type, IP address, timestamps, and cookies or similar technologies needed for sessions, security, and basic analytics (see Section 8).
- Admin and audit logs when staff take moderation or configuration actions (for example dispute resolution or account suspension).
2.5 Information from third parties
- Payment processors (Stripe, Razorpay) send us transaction outcomes and limited payer or account metadata required to reconcile payments and prevent fraud.
- Email delivery providers process recipient addresses and message content we send on our behalf.
- Domain metrics enrichment for listings may use third-party APIs or webhooks you configure at the platform level; listing pages may display derived metrics.
3. How we use information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, secure, and improve the Platform (authentication, checkout, escrow, order lifecycle, wallet, payouts, and dashboards).
- Connect buyers and sellers and display public seller and listing information as intended in the product.
- Process payments, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
- Send transactional communications (receipts, delivery alerts, security notices) and, where permitted, product updates you can opt out of.
- Enforce our Terms, investigate abuse, and protect users and the Platform.
- Analyze aggregated or de-identified usage to improve performance and features.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers for their independent marketing.
4. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)
Where applicable privacy law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Contract: to create your account and perform orders, payments, and fulfillment you request.
- Legitimate interests: to secure the Platform, prevent fraud, improve services, and communicate about your account—balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: for tax, accounting, anti-fraud, and regulatory requests.
- Consent: where required for optional marketing or non-essential cookies; you may withdraw consent without affecting core service use.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Platform:
| Recipient | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Other users | Buyers and sellers see information required for transactions (for example seller display name, delivery artifacts, and public reviews). |
| Payment processors | Stripe and Razorpay process charges, refunds, and wallet top-ups; they receive data required under their terms. |
| Infrastructure and email vendors | Hosting, database, and transactional email providers that process data under our instructions. |
| Professional advisers | Lawyers, accountants, or auditors under confidentiality when necessary. |
| Authorities | When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security. |
| Business transfers | In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to continued protection consistent with this policy. |
We require service providers to use personal information only to perform services for us and to protect it appropriately.
6. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. When we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms) where required by law.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal retention requirements (for example tax and payment records). When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, subject to backups and legal holds.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage for:
- Essential operation: session authentication, security, and checkout flows.
- Preferences: such as theme or workspace selection where stored in the browser.
You can control cookies through browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent sign-in or checkout from working. We may adopt privacy-friendly analytics in the future; if we do, we will update this section and any consent tools required in your region.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to a marketplace handling payments and account data (encryption in transit, access controls, hashed passwords, and audited admin actions). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong, unique password and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, or request portability of data you provided.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise rights, email support@addweblink.com from your account email or provide reasonable identity verification. You can update much of your profile in Settings after sign-in. You may unsubscribe from non-essential marketing using links in those emails.
11. Children
The Platform is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe we have done so and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version at /legal/privacy and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where required by law.
